ローゼンクロイツのミュージック情報 Vol. 1

Hello everyone, this is Rozenkreuz! In the pursuit of discovering Japan’s lesser known subculture, I have been going to and from Tokyo with a focus on music and fashion. Now, I present the “Rozenkreuz Music Report!”
Last week’s event took place at Shinjuku MARZ, lasting from midnight till dawn. Ranging from gothic rock and industrial to EBM and dark electro, this event is one of the most noteworthy in the Tokyo Goth scene. With DJs and bands the music kept flowing all night long, but the best performance had to be that of my acquaintance, Selia. A talented countertenor, Selia performs classical Baroque vocal pieces from England and Italy, as well as opera. This time, to the accompaniment of a lute his bewitching voice delivered several traditional English and Italian songs. His outfit and makeup were beautiful, and I was extremely moved as I sat enraptured by the sound of his voice.
Incidentally, Selia has also done chorus work on BUCK-TICK’s 2007 recording.

皆さん、こんにちは。ローゼンクロイツです！日本のあまり知られていない下位文化を探求するために、音楽とファッションを中心として、色々東京のイヴェントに行ったり来たりしています。これから、「ローゼンクロイツのミュージック情報」を申し上げます。
先週のイヴェントはShinjuku MARZで行われて、零時から黎明までのオールナイトライブでした。ゴシックロックやインダストリアルから、EBMやダークエレクトロにいたるまで、東京ゴスシーンの注目に値するところなんです。DJやバンドで音楽が終始一貫流れ出すんですが、一番良かったのは私の知り合いの人、Seliaのパフォーマンスです。Seliaさんは、とても才のあるカウンターテナーとして、イタリア・イギリスのバロックやオペラの曲を歌っています。今度はリュートの伴奏で、妖艶な歌声で、英国とイタリアの伝統的な歌を歌ってくださいました。格好やメークも素敵で、私は恍惚として聴き入ってしまって、凄く感動しました。
ちなみに、彼はBUCK-TICKの2007年のレコーディングのコーラスワークにも参加したそうです。
