Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone! Today is my last day at this school until January. So I want to talk about Christmas today!

In the United States, Christmas is a family holiday. On December 25th we gather our family, share presents, and eat food. There is no special Christmas food that everyone eats. Some people like to eat turkey. My family eats ham. Also, in America, we do not have a "Christmas Cake" tradition. However, cookies are very popular!

Santa Claus is a man that brings presents to good children all over the world. We say that he comes in through the chimney! But if a house doesn't have a chimney, maybe he uses the door. Flying reindeer pull his sleigh.

Christmas songs are extremely popular. Most people start playing Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving. Do you like Christmas music? Some popular songs are Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Let It Snow, White Christmas, and Jingle Bells.

Christmas lights are also a tradition. Some neighborhoods have competitions! You can see extravagant displays. Many parks also have special events where they put up awesome lights and you can drive through or walk around at night to admire them. Christmas lights are my favorite tradition.

Well, I have to go now. I will be back in January! Be safe, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I'll see you soon!
