Today I want to talk about cherry blossoms! Aren't they beautiful? Have you been to Oboshi Park here in Yamanashi? It's one of my favorite places to see cherry blossoms. Japan is famous for its cherry trees. Having picnics under the cherry trees is tons of fun!
Yesterday I went to Akasawa to see the cherry blossoms there. They're so beautiful! I love the trees with long, drooping arms. They're so graceful. I also like the trees with really bright blossoms. They're exciting!
But did you know there are cherry blossom trees outside of Japan, too? Many palces in the United States have cherry trees. Especially the northwest area, a few places by the Gulf of Mexico, and Washington D.C. I saw cherry blossoms trees for the first time in Washington D.C. There's a festival every year! And lots of places sell cherry blossom tea and desserts. It's lots of fun! Just like in Japan.
It's time for me to go now, but I'll be back next week!
